Facilitate the learning of the student by delivering the topic by slide presentation or Film/Video Viewing of different fiber ropes, wire ropes, cables, and chains in terms of their constructions, use, maintenance, and proper stowage including applicable markings.
Give an assignment on marlinspike seamanship skills ((knots, splices or stoppers), the rigging and unrigging of bosun’s chair, stage and pilot ladder and the surface preparation following the established safety procedures and manufacturer’s guidelines:
