COURSE DESCRIPTION This course tackles the influence that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within organizations. It focuses on how human behavior in organizations creates and enacts the changes necessary for the survival of organizations in challenging times. It encompasses the two broad categories of human behavior namely internal and external perspectives. The internal perspective examines workers’ minds to understand their behavior while external perspective focuses on human behavior in terms of external events, consequences, and environmental forces to which a person is subject.
COURSE EXPECTED OUTCOMES (CEO) After successful completion of MBA 202, the student can: 1. explain the role and importance of human in organizations as applied to real-world business scenarios; 2. articulate the different aspects of human behavior in times of change; 3. assess organizational behavior in terms of human behavior and organizational context; and 4. apply human behavior / organizational behavior models, concepts, and theories to actual industry dilemma.
